Melanie graduated from Wicomico High School in 2003 and was a General Manager for the McDonald’s Corporation for almost 20 years. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved supporting her children in all their athletic and academic endeavors. Melanie always went above and beyond to show her family how much she loved them. Melanie was a fun, friendly, and outgoing person whose smile would light up a room.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 22 years, Anthony “Tony” Dickerson, Jr.; three children, Jordan, Anthony “Tre”, III, and Kyler Dickerson; her beloved dog, Ezekiel; sisters, Heather Shah (Asif), Emily Kosmicki (Nick), and Brooke Spadin; brothers, JT Spadin (Aubrey) and Ryan Spadin; paternal grandmother, Donna Spadin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anthony, Sr. and Peggy Dickerson; sister-in-law, Shelby Dickerson; brother-in-law, Brooks Croswell, Sr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 6:00pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where family and friends may visit from 5:00 pm- 6:00 pm. Pastor Carroll Mills will officiate, and Pastor Gary Miller will offer words of comfort.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Melanie to a college fund that has been set up for her children. Please make checks payable to Anthony Dickerson, Jr. and write college funds in the memo. Donations are mailed to SECU, PO Box 13026, Baltimore, MD 21203.
