Michael “Mike” Allen Dunn, 77, of Salisbury died peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in his home. Born in Bethesda, Maryland and raised in Bivalve, he was the son of late Allen and Beryl Hurst Dunn.
Mike was a graduate of Wi-Hi, then joined the United States Navy. He retired as the Branch Manager from United Refrigeration after over 30 years of employment. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing and working in his yard to keep it looking exquisite. He had many happy memories of numerous fishing trips aboard his boat, named Sarah Elizabeth, with family, friends, and clients. Spending his hunting seasons with his sons at the Sageberry Hunting Club in Quantico, Mike was never happier than when a young hunter got his first deer. Mike will always be known for his real true love his grass. He spent countless hours in his yard, with his children's labor to make it the best on the block at the time. Becoming a grandfather was Mike’s proudest accomplishment, the smile never left his face when his grandkids were around. He will be remembered for being the man behind the camera, ready to take a photo of a sunset, cooking fried fish and soft shell crabs for his friends and loved ones.
Michael leaves behind his loving wife, Karen “Kim” Dunn, son, Michael H. Dunn (Sarah), daughter, Sarah Dunn-O’Neal (Ricky), grandchildren, in-laws, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marsha Dunn; daughter, Erica Wolff; son, Jonathan (Jon) Dunn; grandson, Ryker Randrup; and brother, Jeff Dunn.
A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 at 2pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mike to The American Legion Post 237, PO Box 333, Hebron, MD 21830 which he was proudly a member of for many years.
