

Phyllis Dell Turner, 84, of Salisbury passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at her home. Born November 10, 1931 in Salisbury she was the daughter of the late Flavins A. Adkins and Bertha Lemon Adkins. Phyllis was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she served in the following capacities: She and Rev. Dr. David Weber were instrumental in the starting of the homemade Easter Egg fundraiser and continued as chairman of the fundraising committee including the Easter egg sales. She was active in the Alter Guild, Trustee, Worship and membership committees. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Floyd B. “Doc” Turner; son, Thomas W. Dell and his wife Brenda of Florida; step daughter, Linda “Lin” Krautwurst and her husband William “Bill”; grandchildren, Thomas W. Dell, Heather Ezrine and her husband David, Christopher Parks, Jay Disharoon, VI, and Scot Disharoon; great-grandchildren, Brandon Dell, Jake Disharoon, Will Disharoon, Tyler Disharoon, and Talia Ezrine; sister, Shirley Silvia and her husband Charles and Beverly A. Gordy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter, Janis Dell Parks; sister, Mildred Rickards; brother, Richard Adkins and Charles Adkins; niece, Heather Jones; and nephew, Clay Gordy. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jay Hurley and Rev. Harry Weir will officiate. Interment will be held in Wicomico Memorial Park.
