Rex Andrew White, Sr., 73, of Eden passed away Monday, June 22, 2026, at his home peacefully with his family by his side. Born April 14, 1953, in Sanford, VA he was the son of the late Elizabeth “Libby” Godwin White and Andrew Frank White.
Rex would sit in his chair on the deck with a cigar in one hand and a cup of coffee (or Jack in his younger years) in the other, while enjoying the view of the water and watching the boats go by. He was an auto enthusiast and would sit in his recliner in the garage appreciating his collections. Rex and his wife Patty worked hard together for many years to accomplish all of their many dreams and were able to sit back and enjoy them together.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose 654 and Redman’s Tony Tank Tribe 149.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia “Patty” Boston White; three children, Rex White, Jr., Duane White, and Tonya White Fields (Brian); seven grandchildren, Kevin White, Chad White, Olivia White, Kylie Thomas, Jaylin Thomas, Raeven Thomas, and Shade Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Braxton Kato and Matteo White-Martinez; brother, Andy White (Michelle) and nephew, Andrew White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Weldon and Lillian White, and Arvandis and Mary Godwin; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law who he loved as much as his own parents, James and Joelene Boston.
We will miss you. Love You Always.
