Ronald Keith Davis, affectionately known as Ron, of Wango, Maryland, passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 67. A man with a big heart, an unforgettable sense of humor, and a love for adventure, Ron was truly one of a kind.
Born on June 4, 1959, to the late Robert and Grace Davis of Wango, Ron spent much of his life farming. In his younger years, he worked at sea aboard boats, and later pursued a career in real estate. A self-taught man of many talents, he had a knack for figuring things out and was always ready to take on something new.
Ron lived life on his own terms, moving between Maryland and Florida whenever the mood struck—sometimes with little more than a day’s notice. He was the life of every party, quick with a joke, and always ready for an outrageous idea—though the wildest ideas usually came from him. More often than not, you could find him without shoes.
Those who knew Ron knew there was no one quite like him. His humor, generous heart, and larger-than-life personality made him unforgettable. His absence leaves a hole in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Renae Davis of Florida; his son-in-law, Chris Cramer; his grandchildren, Nolan and Rowan Cramer; and his son, Ryan Davis of Maryland. He also leaves behind his sisters, Karen Davis of Florida, Joan Davis of Maryland, and Sandi Fay of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Grace Davis, and his sister, Susan McClanahan.
A celebration of Ron’s life, held in true Ron fashion, will be announced at a later date.
