Samuel Leon Homer, 87, passed away peacefully at his residence with his loving wife and stepdaughter by his side on Thursday, June 26, 2025. He was born in Hollis, Oklahoma on April 25, 1938, to the late Cason W. and May Zackery Homer.
Shortly after graduating High School, he joined the United States Army and retired in 1982 as a food service specialist. After military retirement he moved to Salisbury and retired from the State of Maryland in 1998 as a food service supervisor. In 1973 he met Juanita and stepdaughter, Clara. Juanita and Sam married on July 29, 1975.
Sam is predeceased by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita; stepdaughter, Clara Dewey and husband, Willis of Bridgeville, DE; and daughter Katrina Coleson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Barbara Homer of Bethany, Oklahoma.
Family and friends may visit Monday, July 14, 2025, 5pm-7pm at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 E. Main Street, Salisbury, MD.
