Samueline Ruth Kerrigan, 61, of Fruitland passed away the evening of October 11th at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional. Born September 19th, 1962, in Wicomico County, Maryland. She was the daughter of Ruth Johnson and late father Samuel Wilson.
Sam was an amazing woman with a heart of gold and those who knew her know that she loved her cats more than anything in the world. Prior to her decline in health, she took pride in working in the meat department at Walmart. Sam could be found outside soaking up the sun and tending to her yard or flower beds, as she had a strong will to stay up and active. Sadly, over this last month her health took a fast downward spiral, and she now joins her late husband Joseph Leo Kerrigan in eternity. Sam was a loving wife, sister, aunt, stepmother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Sam is survived by her mother Ruth, sister Robin, nephew Frankie, a woman who she forever looked up to as a Mother Ms. Eloise, her prior sister in-laws Debbie and Karen, nephew Troy and family, her stepchildren Jennifer, Alan Michael, and Chris from her prior marriage to the late Alan Barr Holland, and her grandchildren Dixie Mae, Autumn, Shelby, Bradley, and late Matthew. As well as her Kerrigan family and her treasured cats Cinnamon and Peanut.
A memorial service and burial are scheduled for Friday, November 17th, 2023, at 1pm at the Springhill Memory Gardens. Where she will be laid to rest with her late husband Joseph “Joe” Kerrigan. Springhill Memory Gardens is located at 27260 Ocean Gateway, Hebron, MD 21830. The service will be held at graveside pending weather and in the chapel if weather does not permit.
