

Pittsville: Shirley “Nana” E. Lambert, 79, of Pittsville, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 with the compassionate care given by the Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Born December 11, 1935 in Sykesville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Cora E. Cutsail and William E. Cavey. Her husband, David “Jake” L. Lambert, of 42 years, preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by five children, Linda Candy and husband David, Bonnie Parker and husband Norman, Billy Lambert and wife Shannan, Danny Lambert and wife Michelle, Tammy Littleton and husband Jay, and her many adopted children; Nine grandchildren, Vickie Davis and husband Dave, Jeffrey Lambert, and Ashley Richardson, Tommy and Maurice Parker, Alex, Tony, and Allyson Castillo, and Kelly West and husband John; one pet-grandchild, Brandi; Five great-grandchildren, Dylan and Travis Davis, Jessica Parker, and Ella and Scarlett West; one sister, Deanna Horner and husband Frank, and sister-in-law Nadine Cavey; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous loving family and friends. Shirley, in addition to being a loving mother and homemaker, began in her early years working at Manhattan Shirt Factory and later was a poultry grower. She served many years with the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary. She dedicated her life with an open door policy for all neighborhood children treating them as her own. In addition to her parents and loving husband, she is also preceded in death by two brothers, Roy “Jake” Cavey and William “Pee-Wee” Cavey, and one nephew, Chuckie Horner. The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation for the dedication and compassionate care given by the PRMC Nursing Staff on floor 3D, the Natesan Medical Group, Coastal Hospice at the Lake and a sincere and special appreciation for her caregiver, Crystal Bratten. Family will receive friends from 10AM to 12PM at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 East Main Street, Salisbury, MD 21804 on Monday, November 16, 2015. Funeral Services will begin at 12 noon on Monday at the Funeral Home with Kimberley Richardson and Paul Thomas Bell officiating. Burial will follow at the Pittsville Cemetery in Pittsville.
