Theodosia Mae Parker, 95, of Salisbury passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 after a long illness. Theda known to many of her friends by the nickname of Mickey was born September 8, 1927 to Helen Tyndall Angell of Salisbury.
She started her career in the office of Feldman Brothers, beginning 50 years of work in accounting and retired from CR Phippin Accounting. In 1945, she met and married Roy Stanton Parker. Mickey and Roy raised two children, Roy Edward and Cindra. Her retirement years were spent working side by side with Roy and enjoying homemaking, church activity, camping, reading, and her flower gardens, and roses. Mickey was also a loyal member of the Salisbury Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary having served as a past president.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindra Leigh Clutter (James); grandchildren, Douglas Parker (Pam), Kristopher Parker (Ashley), and Joshua Clutter and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Stanton Parker in 2001 and son, Roy Edward “Eddie” Parker in 2019.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 at 2pm at Wicomico Memorial Park.
Mickey was an animal heroine and never turned away a stray cat. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Wicomico County Humane Society, 5130 Citation Dr., Salisbury, MD 21804 would be appreciated.
