William "Billy" Alfred Bowen

William ”Billy” Alfred Bowen, 71, of Salisbury passed away, Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his home. Born in Salisbury he was the son of the late James Alfred and Lillie Frances Bowen. Billy was a United States Army Veteran. Along with his wife Harriett they owned and operated B&H Lawn Sprinkler Service for 27 years. He worked as the Motor Pool Director for Salisbury University for over 30 years. An antique car enthusiast, he was a past member of many local car clubs including the Ocean City Cruzers. Known to his family as “Bull” he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Harriett E. Bowen; daughter, Robin Dixon and her husband Darren; grandson, William Anthony “Tony” Bowen; two dogs, Holly and Wesker; sister, Constance O’Brien and her husband Larry; sisters-n-law, Maria Lowry and her husband Jack and Yvonne Grams; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 1pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Gary Tulak will officiate. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wicomico Humane Society, 5130 Citation Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804.
