William “Billy” Henry Hadder, Jr., 80, of Eden passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, at TidalHealth in Salisbury. Born August 9, 1944, in Salisbury he was the son of the late William Henry Hadder, Sr. and Gertrude Mitchell Hadder.
Billy enjoyed his work as a farmer for many years and later as an HVAC Fabricator with Volair. He loved being outside and living off the land by spending time hunting and fishing in his younger years. As he got older, he loved cutting grass, going to auctions, visiting the Boardwalk, and eating Thrashers fries but most of all socializing and visiting with family and friends. Billy’s pride and joy was his family. His granddaughters love for horses was encouraged by trips to the Chincoteague Pony Penning on Pop-Pops boat and many great memories were made at Trails End Campground. There was never a call where he did not ask what all his kids, grandkids and family were up to. He was full of great stories and could always make us laugh. Billy (aka Hatrock) Hadder will be missed by many!
Billy is survived by his children, Donna Harrington (Brad Hastings), Christina Hadder-Weigand and Jerry Hadder (Michelle); grandchildren, Dayna Harrington, Hanna Harrington, Kole Harrington, Courtney Elliott & Emily Harte; his partner in life, Patsy Griffin, her sons Oscar (Evelyn) Griffin & family, Jesse Griffin and grandsons Alexander and Thomas; his sisters Shirley Aydelotte & Gladys Aldrich and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his siblings; Marvel Hadder, Norma Jean Willis, Kathleen Mitchell, Louette Foskey, Dorian Scott, and Patsy Carey.
A visitation will be held Thursday August 14, 2025, from 6-8 pm at Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury, MD and a Graveside Service will be on Friday August 15, 2025, at 1pm at Parsons-Warren Cemetery at 7235 Sixty Foot Rd, Pittsville, MD.
