William Thomas Ellingsworth, 72, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury he was the son of the late Norwood Elijah Ellingsworth and Priscilla Mae Aydelotte Ellingsworth.
Tom retired from AI DuPont. Tom was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing in the Outer Banks. He was a past member and champion with the US Long Distance Casting Team.
He is survived by his son, Michael Ellingsworth and his wife Tammy; three grandchildren, Brad Ellingsworth, Conor Ellingsworth, Austin Townsend; brother, Joe Ellingsworth and his companion Donna Horner; sister, Michele White; nephew, Jeff Ellingsworth; niece, Amber White Hitt.
A Celebration of Toms Life will be held Wednesday at 7pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
