Wilson Shinin Ochoa, 56, of Salisbury and formerly of Ecuador passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. Born August 2, 1969, he was the son of Guillermo Shinin and Maria Ochoa Shinin.
Wilson grew up in Ecuador where he got his degree in Architecture and then later moved to the United States to further his career. He loved photography, writing poetry, and reading. An outdoorsman he loved nature, animals (dogs), and traveling.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his fiancé, Vania Gavilanes; two brothers, John Shinin Ochoa and his wife, Cecilia and William Shinin Ochoa and his wife, Maria Esther; sister, Mercy Utter and her husband Christopher; nieces and nephews, Christian, Brianna, Sophia, Anna- Paula, and John, Jr., and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Wilson’s Life will be held Friday, August 22, 2025, at 5 pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Wilson to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 514 Camden Ave, Salisbury, MD 21801.

Wilson Shinin Ochoa, 56 años de edad, vivió en Salisbury y antes en Ecuador, falleció en Agosto 19, 2025 , en casa y rodeado de su familia. Nació en Agosto 2 de 1969, hijo de Guillermo Shinin y Maria Ochoa Shinin.
Wilson creció en Cuenca-Ecuador donde se graduó en Arquitectura y luego emigró a Estados Unidos persiguiendo sus sueños. Él amaba la fotografía, la lectura y escribir poemas. También amaba la naturaleza, los animales en especial a sus mascotas. Tiempo después empezó a disfrutar de viajes acompañado de su novia Vania. Se llevará a cabo una celebración de la vida de Wilson el Viernes 22 de agosto de 2025 a las 5 pm. (4 pm hora de Ecuador), en Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. Amigos y familia pueden dar el último adiós una hora antes de la ceremonia.
