Obituary of Eva Dixon
Eva Marie Trauntvein Dixon, passed on to her next calling on May 5, 2022 in Bountiful, Utah. Born on September 2, 1929 to Jens Henry Trauntvein and Gladys Rostron, Eva spent her early years living in Clear Creek and Kenilworth, Utah where she met James William Dixon Sr. They married on January 18, 1948 in Elko, Nevada. They later divorced. There were five children born to the marriage, Lynda Marie (Michael Hale), James William Jr. (Karma), David Jeffrey (Eulale), Barry Scott (Jana), and Richard Blair Dixon (Peter Giovine). Eva was a dedicated mother who loved and supported her children in missions, marriages, families and dreams. She had an amazing memory for celebratory events and sent cards to everyone to recognize them. She loved music and is undoubtedly enjoying heavenly choirs. Eva loved to travel and visited numerous countries and states with her family and friends. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and set a wonderful example to her family by serving a mission to the Chicago Temple. Her service made her a cherished member of her ward and neighborhoods. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her older brother who died at birth, and her beloved sister-in-law, Thelma Trauntvein. She is survived by her children, 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, her wonderful siblings, Helen Trauntvein, Don Trauntvein and Leonard Trauntvein (Myrna) and loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
