Agustin C. Gutierrez

Agustin Cardenas Gutierrez, 88, of San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, surrounded by family. Agustin was born on December 12, 1937, in San Buenaventura, Coahuila, he was the son of Agustin Gutierrez Boone and Altagracia Cardenas Gutierrez. Agustin (Tino) is survived by his wife Hilda, his sons Roberto (Estella), Homero (Anita), Agustin (Christine) his grandchildren Cristine Pedraza (Stephen), Robert Gutierrez (Alexandra), Angela, Mayra, Pedro and Agustin IV (Victoria), His great grandchildren Isabella Pedraza (Jefferey Wilson), and Nathaniel Pedraza. He was preceded in death by his daughter Mayra Gutierrez, his parents Agustin Gutierrez Boone and Altagracia Cardenas Gutierrez.

Agustin, although a plumber by trade, was much more than that to friends and family, known for his work ethic and dedication to all. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. He married Hilda Gonzalez Gutierrez on April 23, 1960, and together they built a life filled with love and adventure as they traveled all over the world together. Known for his punctuality and his daily routine. Agustin loved watching sports and supporting his family. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78205 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will take place the following day, Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8134 Blanco Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78216 at 10:00 a.m. Afterwards he will be laid to rest at San Fernando #2 Cemetery.
