It comes with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Alejandro DeLeon Alcala, who was born on December 2, 1957, and departed this life on January 26, 2026, at the age of 68.

Alejandro was born in Brownsville, Texas and lived his years with purpose, vigor, and an unbreakable devotion to the people he loved most. He was defined by his determination and his enduring sense of responsibility. Alejandro was an ambitious man who was never afraid of working hard to reach his goals. Those who loved him knew him as a great brother, a reliable friend, and a wonderful father who provided well for his family. He will always be remembered for his steady strength, his generosity, and the passion he brought to life. Alejandro will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his parents Gorgonio and Elovia D. Alcala; and his brothers, Gorgonio "Junior" Alcala, Roy Alcala, and Jesse Alcala. Alejandro is survived by his children, Alejandro Alcala Jr, Elovia Alcala, and Rick Michael Alcala; his siblings, Felipa Casillas, Ruth Alcala, Domingo/Dan Alcala, Olga Casillas, Alice Perez (Steve), Julie Alcala, Ricky Alcala, and Janie Alcala; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N Main Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78205. Visitation will follow until later that evening at 9:00 P.M. and continue the following day, Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Karnes City Cemetery.
