Alejandro R. Cortez, Sr., Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, born on November 10, 1922 in San Antonio, Texas entered eternal rest on November 19, 2015 at the age of 93. He is now reunited with his mother, Mauricia R. Cortez, sister; Margaret R. Garza, brothers; Jesus R. Cortez, Johnny R. Cortez and Felix R. Cortez. He is survived by his wife, Perla O. Cortez, sons; Alex R. Cortez Jr., Luis G. Ostos, daughter; Perla C. Ostos, and grandchildren; Gregorio Velazquez, Perla Velazquez, Justin Ostos, Paige Ostos, Margot Cortez, and Cory Cortez. He truly enjoyed life to its fullest, he loved listening to Michael Buble and Billy Esckstine, but he LOVED going to the Frost Bank downtown on the VIA bus more than anything. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road., from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. For online tributes please visit www.funerariadelangelroyakers.com
