Alfredo P. Ortiz; beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great- great grandfather entered eternal rest on September 15, 2014 at the age of 97. Alfredo was born on October 10, 1916 to Leon and Juana Ortiz and proudly served his country during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Estella of 63 years. He is survived by his children: Alfred Jr., Adolfo, Raymond, Delia Rodriguez, Lydia Clasen; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. His presence will be missed dearly, but he will be remembered as a devoted family man who enjoyed reading, fishing,playing cards and pool, . The family will receive guests at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday September 25, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. for a half hour visitation at the church prior to 11:15 Mass at St. Phillip of Jesus Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
