Amelia Mendez Gonzalez

Amelia Mendez Gonzalez, age 67, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Amelia was born April 5, 1955 in Pearsall, Texas to Pascual and Emelia Mendez. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Amelia is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Martha Mendez; and her 3 brothers, Paul Mendez, JR Mendez, and Roman Mendez. She is survived by her brothers, Cirildo “City” Mendez, Gregorio Mendez, and David Mendez; 6 children, Angelica Varela (Steven), Celeste Gonzalez, Frances Emily Gonzalez, Beatrice Gonzalez, Homero de Jesus Gonzalez, and Leonardo Gonzalez; 14 grandchildren, John Albert, Renee Lee, Kaitlyn, Ricardo Adrian, Vincent Lestat, Kaylee, Rosa Abigail, Sariyah, Alyson, Steven Matthias, Julian Dean, Leonardo Xavier, Mia Grace, Emily Alayna; and many nieces and nephews. Also, survived by her former spouse, Homer E. Gonzalez.

A visitation for Amelia will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78205, with a rosary service at 7:00 PM.
