Andrew R. Fernandez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, entered rest on January 14, 2013 at the age of 93. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio to Andres and Rebecca Fernandez on October 8, 1919. Andrew honorably served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and worked until retirement at Kelly Field in flight test. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Fernandez; children: Andrew Fernandez III and wife Kathryn, Eugene Fernandez, Gloria De Hoyos and husband Ernest, Lucy Huron and husband Mark; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 17, 2013 for a 7:00 p.m. Service at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 12:30 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2013 for a 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service at San Fernando Cemetery III.
