August R. Segura Jr., born on February 11, 1922 went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2015 at the age of 93. He is preceded in death by his parents, Augustine and Leonor Segura, wife; Margarita C. Segura, sons; Jose C. Segura, Robert C. Segura, and his 3 siblings. He is survived by his son, August “Tino” Segura, 7 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and his sisters. August, being a very well-known man and a friend to many will be remembered for his excellent dancing such as the “Jitter Bug”, his lively personality, and that twinkle in his eye. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N. Main Ave., from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Henry’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
