October 19, 1948 – May 28, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Beatrice V. Gonzales who entered eternal rest on May 28, 2026, at the age of 77.
Born on October 19, 1948, she lived a life defined by unwavering love, quiet strength, and selfless devotion to her family. Her greatest joy was caring for those she loved, and she dedicated her life to nurturing, encouraging, and supporting her family through every season of life.
She shared a beautiful love story with her husband, Mauricio Gonzales, her first and only love, for 54 years. Even after his passing, she carried his memory close to her heart and looked forward to the day they would be reunited. Their enduring love was a testament to faithfulness, commitment, and the power of true partnership.
Her professional life reflected her caring nature. For 13 years, she worked as a beautician, where she enjoyed not only helping women look their best but also building friendships and sharing conversations with every client who sat in her chair. Later, she pursued higher education and discovered her true calling in early childhood education.
As a Teacher's Assistant for 25 years with San Antonio ISD, she touched the lives of countless young children with patience, kindness, and encouragement, helping them build a foundation for lifelong learning.
A woman of deep faith, she loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life as a faithful servant of God. Her faith was the foundation of her strength, guiding her through life's joys and challenges with grace, humility, and unwavering trust. She found comfort in prayer, joy in serving others, and peace in knowing God's promises. Through her example, she taught her family the importance of faith, compassion, forgiveness, and unconditional love.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mauricio Gonzales; her loving parents, Eliseo and Francisca Villareal; her grandson, Jesse M. Rodriguez; her sister-in-law, Yolanda Carrizales, who was more like a sister and lifelong friend than an in-law; and her brother-in-law, Felix Diaz, who was loved as a brother. Their bonds were built not only through marriage, but through years of love and shared memories.
She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughters, Lyllian Meneses (Thomas), Marisa Rodriguez (Jesse), and Elisha Gonzales; her sisters, Gloria Rodriguez (Juan), Lucy Ramos (Andres), and Sylvia Villareal; her special brother, Valdomero Carrizales; her cherished grandsons, Anthony and Christopher; her granddaughter, Gabriella; her newly added step-grandsons, Sean, Logan, and Dylan; her special bonus granddaughter, Mary; her great-grandsons, Ezekiel, Elliot, Mauricio Nash, and Sean Jr.; her great-granddaughter, Layla; along with numerous in-laws, nieces/nephews, and cousins.
While these are the family members we can name, Mom's love extended far beyond those listed here. She was a second mother and grandmother to many, opening her heart, offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love to countless people throughout her life.
Though we cannot name them all, we gratefully acknowledge the individuals who became part of her extended family and were blessed by her nurturing spirit.
Though we are saddened by her loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior and reunited with the love of her life, Mauricio.
Her beautiful warm smile and memory will continue to live on in the stories we share, the lessons she taught us, the faith she modeled, and the love she planted in each of our hearts. We rejoice in the promise that we will see her again and celebrate a life well lived in service to God and others.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
