Beatriz L. Martinez

Beatriz was a devoted wife to her husband Arturo, married 45 years. She had no children but her immediate nieces and nephews considered her as their loving mother. To her friends she was Bea. To her other nieces and nephews she was Tia. She loved praising God and singing in the church choir. Making friends was easy for her. She was very sociable. Being around people was enjoyable to her. She loved parties and dancing. As soon as the music started she wanted to dance. Cooking and making delicious meals was one of her gifts. She was a beautiful person on the outside but most of all on the inside. Always concerned about others rather than herself. She will be truly missed.

She is preceded her death by her mother, Maria C. Lopez; her father, Celso Lopez Bravo; her brothers, Manuel Lopez, Sr., Celso Lopez, and Daniel Lopez; and her sisters, Maria de la Luz Villanueva, Catalina Zapata, and Alicia Lopez.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Arturo Martinez; her brother, Roberto Lopez of Arizona; her sisters, Rachel (Benny) Puente, and Mary Alma Compean; her nieces and nephews, Robert (Vanessa) Compean, Devin Compean, Robert Compean Jr., Sergio Compean Jr., Celso (Diana) Compean, Charles (Jen) Compean, and their families as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Beatriz will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N Main Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78205, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
