Brian Scott Soliz

Brian Scott Soliz, most loving son, brother and father, age 43, passed away on Monday April 20, 2015 in San Antonio Texas. Born January 4, 1972 in Hagarstown, Maryland, Brian grew up in Killeen and San Antonio, Texas and Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended Alamo Heights High School and graduated from Moanalua High School in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1990 and upon his return to San Antonio went to work as a camera operator for KMOL and KABB before pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio, Texas.

Brian loved children and took great pride in teaching and mentoring them, and he had the opportunity to share this passion with his son Nathan. He loved to cook, had a great vigor for life, a glowing personality, a quick wit, and an infectious sense of humor. Brian is survived by the light of his life and son, Nathan Fox Soliz, his mother Helen Saenz, father Ruben Soliz, brothers Steve and Xavier Soliz, fiancée Nelda De La Garza, and numerous family and friends.
