Catherine Louise Groover

Catherine Louise Groover age 73, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on June 20, 2026. Born in Key West, Florida, she carried the spirit of the islands with her throughout her life: sunshine, salt air, and a love for the beach that never faded.

She was known for her warm heart, her deep love of music, and the joy she found in simple, meaningful moments. Whether she was baking something sweet, listening to her favorite songs, or spending time with her beloved pets, she brought comfort and light to those around her. Nothing, however, brought her more happiness than time spent with her grandson.

Catherine was preceded in death by her brothers Victor and Bernard.

She is survived by her family Penelope Valdespino, Allison Frazor, Michael Frazor, Jr., Joanne Hawley, Michael Frazor, Sr. and her grandson Timothy Hurt. She is also survived by her sister Sabrina as well as extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.

Her hobbies included attending concerts, listening to music, enjoying nature documentaries, baking, caring for her pets, and enjoying every moment she could with her grandson. She will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the love she shared so freely.

A service to honor her life will be held on July 7, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at a location to be determined.
