Every single memory I have of Cezar Retana brings a smile to my face. I simply can not pick just one. I believe this is because he was an amazingly kind person every single day of his life. I can't remember him in a bad mood or even upset. He was always calm and sincere. 
A great young man is all I remember as I left SA far too soon to create more memories. 
And I'll never forget his only request, in his own words, "take care of my sister", which Sonia, I hope I always did. I love you Cezar. Rest in peace.

Cezar was a such a great person. He and his wife volunteered with me for several years at NIOSA. We both learned that we had a common love of The Peanuts Gang, Charlie Brown and Snoopy! One year he gave me a Charlie Brown coffee cup that I still use to this day! I will keep Cezars family in my prayers. Thank you for the fond memories and until we meet again Rest in Paradise. 

To the Retana Family,  My family and I send our deepest condolences. My heart is very heavy and broken to hear about the loss of Cezar. I have such great memories growing up down the street  from Cezar and his wonderful family. I also went to school with him and Sonya. He was such a sweet friend and  best brother.  He had the biggest dimples and great smile  that would light up the room.  We are sending our prayers for strength, comfort and peace for you all during this difficult time.  Love Mandy

I will always remember the family cruise and what a fantastic trip we all shared together.  Cezar was larger than life with a wonderful sense of humor.  He was always making us laugh.  What a wonderful spirit and soul.  My heart broke when I heard the news.  He was taken way too soon. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that God will grant you peace and comfort so you can heal.

This was back in our wonderful middle school years that’s where I met him and his sister  they were so smart and funny. After school we would wait to walk home together, and talk about our day. They would stop because of course they lived  closer from school, but Cezar would always be a gentleman and wait till we left together so I didn’t walk alone, and ask if I got home ok. All these years later,  I  remember some people in life who left an impression On me he was one. And I will always have great memories. Because, he was so humble and funny but mostly he was a kind soul. At school everyone knew him to be that way, also, he loved his friends, and. Mostly his inseparable best friend his sister. I only wished he had more time with his family as I’m sure they do to. MY condolences and prayers
