Clara Torres

Clara O. Torres, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, entered rest on January 9, 2011 at the age of 81. A native of San Antonio, she was born to Santiago and Victoria Ontiveros on February 18, 1929. She was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Refugio F. Torres. She is survived by their children: Albert Torres and wife Alma, Jo Ann Ramirez and husband Joe, Michelle Medel-Diaz, Melissa Martindale and husband Justin; nine grandchildren: Sinbad, Thunder, Vincent, Justin, Nicholas, Gabrielle, Alyson, Davis and Reed; three great-grandchildren: Nicole, Laurin and Heather; brothers, Santos, Chale, Santiago and Juan Ontiveros; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 7:30 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2011 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
