

Diana graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1959. Diana was a strong, hard working and independent woman. Who instilled many great values in her children and family. Diana’s career began right out of high school as a supervisor at Frost Brothers department store. She then took a different career path and began her days as a civil service employee at Lackland air force base. she later moved to Kelly air force base 1970 where She then retired in 2000 as a civil service accountant with Defense finance and accounting services. Diana received numerous awards and letters of recognition commending her great work.
Diana belonged to a bunco club, enjoyed playing bingo , going to the casino, dancing, socializing, Traveling and hosting family gatherings. She was “Grandma” to everybody, no matter who you were. She opened her heart and home to many and took you in and cared for you just as if you were her own. She was also know for her unique whistle. Diana was strong in her faith and always made sure she and her family made time for church and the Lord. She served as a parishioner at Christ The King Catholic church for most her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her granddaughters, Jennifer Diane Lozano and Abigail Carrillo. She is survived by her sister, Christina Esquivel (Jesse); her children, Carol Zaragosa (Randy), David Campos (Olga), Ronald Campos, Jeffrey Carrillo (Veronica), Vivian Villanueva (Robert), and Rosie Herrera (Arthur); her step children, Anthony Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez Jr., John Paul Rodriguez, James Rodriguez, Charlie Rodriguez, and Melissa Rodriguez; her grandchildren, Rosie, Brandy, Zachary, Jenna, Jacob, Sammy, Joey (Sarah), Chelsea, Alex, and Andrew; her great grandchildren, Marc (Kim), Sydnee (Mario), Brandon, Kylie, Cheyenne, Natalie, and Noah; and her great great grandchildren, Mia and Max. Also numerous other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Diana will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. On Thursday, January 6, 2022, a funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for the funeral mass at 10:00 AM at Christ The King Catholic Church, 2610 Perez St, San Antonio, TX 78207. A graveside service will follow at San Fernando #2 Cemetery, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
