Edna E. Coronado Pierce passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 86. She was born in Laredo, Texas on June 5, 1933 to her parents, the late Miguel and Jovita Coronado.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Charlie Ray Pierce, Sr.; her son, Patrick Clark Miller; her grandson, Private 1st Class Anthony Scott Miller; and her brothers, Julian, Michael, and Alfred “Al” Coronado.

Edna leaves to cherish her memory her son, Charles Ray Pierce, Jr. (Charlotte); her daughter-in-law, Patricia J. Miller (Clark); her grandchildren, Patrick C. Miller, Jr., Susan L. Cruz, Andrew Pierce, and Jeremy Pierce Dickerson; her great-grandchildren, Sam Miller, Daisy Cruz, and Faith Apple Cruz; her sisters, Livila Altamirano, Olga Sifuentes (Francisco), and Guadalupe Villareal; her brother, Joseph Coronado (Virginia); and her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who adored her.

The family will be receiving friends for a Visitation on Wednesday, July 3rd from 5 PM to 9 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home - 515 N. Main Ave. 78205 – with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. A Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home at 11 AM on Friday, July 5th and arrive at St. Ann’s Catholic Church – 210 St. Ann 78201 – for a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at the conclusion of the service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery – 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. 78209 – at 1 PM, Shelter #1, where Edna will be reunited with her husband, Charlie, after 17 years.
