

Edward John Jasek, beloved father, grandfather and friend, went to be with the Lord September 28, 2012 at the age of 79. He was born October 16, 1932 in Floresville, Texas to John and Mary Jasek. His career started as a peanut farmer in Floresville, followed by a 2 year, tour of duty in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. After he returned to San Antonio, where he sold and serviced Gravely Tractors in a family owned business for 34 years. Edward loved to fish, hunt and dance to Czech Polkas and Waltzes. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Theodore. He is survived by his ex-wife, Susie (Moy) Jasek; sons, Clifton Jasek and wife Dawn, Kenneth Jasek and wife Patty; twin granddaughters, Olivia and Julianna Jasek; numerous cousins, close friends and next door neighbors, Fred Trevino and Drew. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2012.
