Elida was a faithful member of Primera Iglesia Bautista Mexicana, as she told me since the 60's. Elida loved going to Chile Tomate y Cebolla for lunch, to which my kids and I had the pleasure of joining. She always shared her life stories, about her husband, her youthful shenanigans. She was loving, funny and understanding. I will dearly miss our lunches together. Go Spurs go, she never missed a game, she loved her Spurs.

My memories of Elida are fond ones ... I remember the first time we met, she came up to me and my husband at that time and told me how handsome my husband was and let him know to take care of me ... I thought she was sweet and loved her sincerity.

Our deepest sympathy to all the De La Garza family; you are in our prayers and thoughts. We knew Elida at Primrose, as her next door neighbors. She will be dearly missed. We know she is resting, as she wanted and is with her family in heaven. May our Lord give you peace in your hearts and bless you! 💐❤

My memories of Ellie are her strong faith and her perseverance. Her favorite quote from her oncologist doctor was "God isn't ready for you and the devil doesn't want you." I will miss our frequent visits but she will always be remembered. May she rest in peace.
