She leaves behind one son, Carlos J. (Charlie) Elizalde and wife Jozelle; three grandchildren, Mark Elizalde, Michael Elizalde and his wife Michelle, and Lisa Mesa and her husband Eddie. Also, seven great-grandchildren: Emily Elizalde, Nicholas Mesa, Valerie Mesa, Matthew Mesa, Shawn Mesa, Bryanna Mesa and Nathan Mesa.
Elida was born in Yoakum, Texas, and was a professional seamstress until she retired. She attended Little Flower basilica until 2005, then became a resident of Blanco Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
A Visitation and Memorial Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N. Main, San Antonio, Texas, on Monday, November 28, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
