Ernesto Arenal

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mariano & Alicia Arenal and sister Rosa Nelia Arenal.

Ernesto is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sherrilynn Arenal; children, Michelle (Rodney), Ernesto "Ernie" (Julie), Estevan (Alicia); grandchildren, Jasmine, Jessica, Nathaniel, Ava, Aliyah, and Mia; siblings, Mariano Jr (Celia) and Cleo (Ricardo); and numerous brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews and extended family whom he cherished.

He dedicated his career to helping others as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). He found great purpose in improving the lives of his patients, offering not only skilled care but also kindness and compassion to everyone he met for many years.

Ernesto was a simple man. He was not a man of many words, King of the one-liners. He found joy in life's quiet pleasures. He enjoyed outside on his small porch with a good glass of whiskey, a fine cigar, and the comfort of spending time with the people he loved most. He never needed extravagance—his greatest happiness came from his family, meaningful conversations, and the simple moments that made his life special and grand. He was best at giving the best hugs. He was one mean pancake maker, salad maker, peanut brittle assistant and sous chef in the kitchen.

Above all else, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose steady presence, gentle wisdom, and unconditional love will be deeply missed. His family will forever cherish the memories, lessons, laughter, love and hugs he gave so freely and wholeheartedly.
