Estella G. Rodriguez

Estella G. Rodriguez, 88, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on May 23, 2026. Born November 26, 1937, in Coughran, Texas, Estella was a beloved and cherished presence whose devoted spirit, kind heart, and hard-working nature shaped the lives of those who had the privilege to know her.

Estella graduated from Harlandale High School, carrying forward a steady determination and care for others that remained evident throughout her life. She shared 59 years of marriage with her husband, Richard E. Rodriguez, building a home grounded in love, faith, and enduring commitment.

Estella was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Rodriguez; her parents, Sarah and Santiago Garcia; and her sisters, Maria, Cruz, and Juanita. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Eleanor Rodriguez (Leo), and Elaine Garza (Marco); five grandchildren, Andrea, Adrian, Aileen, Emily, and Catalina; her great granddaughter, Alani; and her siblings, Frances, David, and Jonas (Abbie). She was also beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

A devoted person at heart, Estella found joy in caring for her family and in the everyday acts of love that make a house a home. She enjoyed baking and cooking, and in her earlier years she took pride in gardening. In more recent times, she could often be found cheering for the Spurs. Estella also treasured traveling with her husband and family, and she maintained a strong connection with her church, where she valued fellowship and time spent socializing with friends.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N Main Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78205, on June 8, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers the following day on June 9, 2026, at 12:30 pm. Committal will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209, on June 9, 2026, at 2:30 pm.
