Felicitas was a strong-willed mother who instilled high moral values in her family. She was a strict mother who expected nothing less than perfection from her daughters, yet she accepted each of their own perfections. She took pride in that she spent decades as a member and treasurer of El Buen Pastor, Assemblies of God. Felicitas loved her plants and made sure she talked to them daily. She would convince many of her grandchildren into doing the chore for her when they stopped by for a visit. A stern woman, she would melt at the sight of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The love in her eyes would explode so much so, that as she stared at them talking and laughing, you could feel the love pushing through the air; and oh it was a sight to see. Her eyes lit up with love and pride, knowing that their accomplishments would be another point of discussion when she lovingly spoke about them to others. One day grandma decided that all her grandchildren needed to know how to change a tire, to ensure that we could take care of ourselves, in the event that an unforeseen incident occurred on the road. She taught us all herself and watched us change that tire on her little white car until she was satisfied that we knew what we were doing. She loved us the only way she knew how, she showed us what she knew about life and wanted us to do the same. She would ask about current events, wanted to watch us cook and wanted to cook for us. She would tell us about her life when she was little and when she was married to the man affectionately known as PaPoo. There was one thing she loved that some didn’t quite understand and that was the love she had for her name. Oh did she love her unique name. Felicitas, Fela, Mom, Grandma, Granny and Abuelita will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but all will be comforted that she is now in the Pearly Gates of Heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Due to COVID-19, funeral services are private and for immediate family only.
