

Frances Solis Muñiz, 86, of Laureles, Texas died Saturday, August 25, 2012. Her birthdate was recorded on her birth certificate February 3, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Delmiro and Leovarda Solis. Frances graduated from Lanier High School in San Antonio, Texas and later attended Bible School in Little Rock Arkansas in 1941 and The Nazarene College in Pasadena, California in 1945. Frances accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at the young age of seven and her desire was to someday be a Missionary; as a young lady she was very well known by many of the Nazarene Churches because of her beautiful singing voice and later used her voice and talents in the Latin American Council of Christian Churches as a minister’s wife. She married the late Dr. Arturo R Muñiz, on September 21, 1947. Dr. Muñiz was the former president of the Latin American Council of Christian Churches. Her desire had always been to work in the ministry and she devotedly accompanied him through-out his ministry. She was a Christian mentor for a lot of ministers and ministers’ wives along with Christian faith followers. Frances served on the CLADIC Seminary in Los Angeles, California as a Music Director and Secretary. Frances was an active member of Templo Gethsemani CLADIC Brownsville, Texas. Frances is survived by two brothers, Henry Solis from Little Rock, Arkansas and Domingo Solis from San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Pauline Lozano from Toledo, Ohio and Romana Aguilar from Upland, California. She is also survived by six children: Elizabeth Muñiz and Raquel Silva from Ringgold, Georgia; Margarita Villarreal from Conroe, Texas and Elsa Frances and husband, Sam Prater from Capulin, Colorado; Arthur and wife, Eva Angeline Muniz from Laureles, Texas and Daniel and wife, Sylvia Muniz from Brownsville, Texas. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. All services and visitations will be held in El Templo Tabernaculo del CLADIC, 1435 Chihuahua St., San Antonio, Texas, and (210)222-8541. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. To 7:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. On Saturday, September 1, 2012, visitations will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. with a Prayer Service at 10:00 A.M., the Dr. Gilberto C. Alvarado, President of CLADIC will be officiating.
