

Frank J. Hinojosa, joined his beloved wife on August 21, 2010 at the age of 93. He was a native of San Antonio born on March 9, 1917 to Tomas and Micaela Hinojosa. Frank was a journeyman craftsman cabinet maker and musician. His cabinet career consisted of work on the Missions, the Alamo and the spiral staircase in the Federal Building, here in San Antonio. As a musician he was talented in playing the guitar, accordion, harmonica, and violin. His joy for music was shared with his children in family gatherings. Frank will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Petra; brother, Jose; and a sister, Maria Villalon. He is survived by sons: Frank V. Hinojosa and wife Juliet, Raul V. Hinojosa and wife Dora, Edward V. Hinojosa and Nilda Aponte; 6 grandchildren: Frank D., Priscilla, Ernesto, Dana, Michael Hinojosa, Jodi Nitz; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends, Friday, August 27, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2010 with a Service to follow also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
