Fred L. Guerrero

Born on September 15, 1934, Fred lived a life rooted in love, family, and tradition. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Maria Guerrero; his daughter Dr. Sandra Guerrero Fernandez and son-in-law Peter R. Fernandez; his sons George Guerrero and daughter-in-law Raquel Guerrero and Javier Guerrero and daughter-in-law Regina Herrera. Fred was a proud grandfather to Miabella Guerrero, Clarissa Nicole Guerrero, and Ethan Julian Guerrero, who brought great joy to his life.

He is also survived by his siblings Paulo Guerrero and Florinda Evans. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Julian Guerrero and Felicitas Luna Guerrero; his beloved son Julian Guerrero; and siblings Florencia Perez, Manuel Guerrero, Tomas Guerrero, and Daniel Guerrero.

Fred had a deep love for sports and found great enjoyment in watching football and baseball. A loyal fan, he cheered passionately for the Chicago Cubs, San Antonio Spurs, Texas A&M Aggies, and UTSA Roadrunners. He also cherished time outdoors, especially deer hunting, a favorite pastime that connected him with nature and family.

Fred's strong spirit, quiet wisdom, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Fred will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A rosary will occur Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 350 Sutton Dr, San Antonio, TX 78228. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
