George is preceded in death by his parents, father David Perez; stepfather, Rafael Jimenez, mother, Helen Lee Jimenez, his sisters, Nancy Lee Perez, Delia Lee Esparza, and Brother, Ricky Lee Jimenez.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Yolanda Perez, who will hold his memory close to her heart forever, sons, Ronald (Adriana) Perez, Ricky (Crisanta) Perez, and daughter Nancy (Tony) Vargas; grandchildren Beth (Nick Martinez) Perez, Stephanie (Jason) Thompson, Ronni Perez, Joshua Perez, Priscilla (Fred) Huerta, Ricky (Brianna) Perez Jr., Analisa Alderete, Paul Anthony (Angelica) Perez, and Ryan Perez; great grandchildren, Lacy Perez, Alex Martinez, Elijah Perez, Danica Martinez, Ava Marie Thompson, Meilani Huerta, Daniel Alderete lll, Daryus Alderete, Analia Alderete, Danen Alderete, Anatalia Alderete, Ariana Perez and Adalyn Perez; brothers William Lee (Hilda) Perez, David Lee (Yolanda) Perez, Ralph (Angie) Jimenez, Henry (Janie) Jimenez, and sisters Isabel (Evaristo) Solano and Estella (Duke) Martinez.
George was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved all his children very much, and all his grandchildren and great grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He was a devoted family man who always supported his children and was very proud of all their accomplishments. He was a faithful servant of God who dedicated his life to serve God. He was a man who trusted God in all things in life.
He was the distinguished founder and proprietor of "G" Custom Shop Upholstery, where he built a renowned reputation for excellence over more than four decades in business. His masterful craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit established him as a respected figure in the upholstery industry for 45 years.
One of his many highlights in life was serving as a Royal Ranger Commander for many years at Templo Bethel. Leading young men to Christ while also teaching other life skills. As a Commander, he enjoyed preparing campfire devotionals and fellowship with other Royal Ranger Leaders. He enjoyed singing his favorite Christian songs every Sunday morning before church. His formative years were spent between California and San Antonio, places that held special memories throughout his life.
His zest for life was evident as he had many passions. He enjoyed the beach, golfing, fishing, camping, baseball, drawing, rope tricks and arts and crafts projects. He will forever be remembered for his playful and lighthearted demeanor, and his infectious smile that would brighten at the mere sight of chocolate and sweets. Most importantly, his legacy lives on through the strength, courage, compassion, love, and kindness he consistently showed to everyone he encountered.
A visitation for George will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a service starting at 7:00 PM at Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A final blessing will occur Friday, February 7, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home where after the funeral procession will depart for the burial at San Jose Burial Park, 8235 Mission Rd, San Antonio, TX 78214.
