First of all my father was a proud man  and very strict he beleived his way and only his way like for example he taught me how to make tamales i made them really good but he would get mad if i did not do them His way buy he was a good man i am proud of him knowing he was in the military a drill sargent a protector of his nation plus he in law enforcement to me what he has done made me proud to have him as my father. The day he saw that i graduated from college ut mad him so proud amd especially him knowing i got into law enforcement i saw his face priceless.

The famous words he made sure to instill in my mind was "not to worry, not to worry!" I loved my Uncle Gilbert with all my heart, he was my Wizard of Oz "Cowardly Lion" he did the greatest impression, he would make me laugh so hard when he did the king of the forest part. I think what made me respect him and love him so much was the fact that I knew he genuinely loved me and my sister. Although we didn't get to visit very often but when we did he always took us to do something, and it was fun and educational. I remember one summer he was working at Dunkin Donuts and he would bring 50lb bags of all kinds of donuts. We would eat until we were sick! But it was so fun, If it wasn't for him and my Grandma we probably would have never seen the river walk or all 7 of the missions. Thank you Uncle Gilbert a Big Red and Funyons was all it took and it was off to an adventure with no hesitation and all the love. You will be missed dearly, you were not only my hero but the greatest cook next to Grandma Ive ever known. Thank you for being you and my Uncle!

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister: Margaret; brothers: Andrew and Paul and daughter: Arita.  He is survived by his son: Gilbert Trinidad Jr., children, and grandchildren; brothers: James and Johnny; sisters: Mary Lou, Carmen, and Rose.
