Gloria Ann Carrion

Gloria was a proud business owner and entrepreneur whose legacy lives on through the many establishments she owned and operated throughout the years, including Gloria’s Lounge Bar, El Gemini, Gloria’s II, Don Gilbertos, La Gloria Mexican Restaurant , Commerce Cafe, and G & G Mexican Restaurant. She especially loved spending time at her bar, visiting with friends and customers who became like family over the years.

Outside of her work, Gloria enjoyed shopping, caring for her loved ones, and creating lasting memories with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Muniz and Maria Jovita Muniz; her siblings, Eduardo Muniz, Lupe Zapata, and Raymond Moya.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Gilbert Casias Carrion; her sons, Gilbert Carrion Jr., Richard Carrion, David Carrion, and Martin Carrion; her sisters, Janie Carrera and Norma Ochoa; her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie, John, Destinee, Roger, Chloe, Martin, Mark, Brianna, Zachary, Julian, Mason, Ami and JJ; as well as 12 great-grandchildren who will continue to honor her memory and legacy.

Gloria will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205, US, on June 4, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, Cemeteries & Crematories, 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214, US, on June 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
