Gloria Carmona Oviedo

Our beloved mother, Gloria Carmona Oviedo was called Home on November 6, 2014. Born in Monterrey, Mexico to Porfirio and Tomasita Carmona on December 20, 1948; moved to States by age 12. She graduated from Sydney Lanier High School in 1967. Gloria worked with various companies and retired in 2010 from The Home Depot. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jesus; sister, Mariana; nephews, Jesse and Julio (Keno); and niece, Belinda; son, Robert Oviedo III; and her husband, Robert C. Oviedo, Jr. and survived by their children; Javier R. Oviedo of New York (Paul), Christopher R. Oviedo of San Antonio, Veronica A. Lee of San Antonio (Bennie); sister-in-law, Guadalupe Oviedo and numerous cousins. Gloria touched the lives of many and will forever be missed by her children, family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers. A special thank you to the staff at Oak Park Nursing Home and Cima Hospice for making her last days filled with love and peace.
