With great sadness, the family of Grover “Charles” Crandall of San Antonio, Texas, announces his passing on February 15, 2018, while in hospice care. He lived to be 86 years old and always looked forward to the day when he would finally “walk with Jesus.” Charles was an industrial arts teacher for 26 years. He enjoyed wood working, crafts, hunting, hiking, football and a good cup of coffee. Charles is the beloved father of Kathy Butcher and David Crandall and the grandfather of Matthew, Carolyn, Nyah and Nina. He leaves behind a sister, Virginia Wolfshohl, nephews, a niece, and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father, Mathias Crandall and his mother, Alma Spohn Crandall. A private burial will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
