

James William Davis Jr., beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, entered into eternal rest, on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the age of 87. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, to parents James William Sr. and Madge Foreman Davis, on January 30, 1925. James will always be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, sports and of course, for the great outdoors. He worked as a brewer at the Pearl Brewery of San Antonio for over 30 years. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of over 30 years, Betty Davis, and his sisters, Velma Schmidt, Betty Boyette and Linnie Davis. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Davis; daughters, Diana Watts and her husband, Robert, Penny Haselwood and her husband Dennis, and Lori George; grandchildren, Kari Watts, Kaye Guidry and her husband Todd, Lindsey George and Kyle George; great-grandchildren, Kaylie Schmidt, Steven Schmidt, and Tristan Guidry; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012, at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, 7735 Gibbs, Sprawl Rd., with Visitation at the Graveside an hour prior to the service.
