Jesus Alvarado Jr.

Passed in peace on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the age of 76. Born in Ashteron, Texas on September 19, 1939 his formative years were lived in San Antonio, Texas. Our beloved is preceded in death by parents Jesus and Ramona Alvarado and sister Natalia. He is survived by his only daughter Matilda A. Dimas and grandchildren Jesse Gonzales and Rachel Dimas. He is further survived by Sister Evangelina. Jesus “Chuy” Alvarado will fondly be remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. He lived his life by faith and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid wrestling and baseball fan. He was a gentle, humble and generous man. The most unconditional choice in his life was to be an Adoptive father. He was defined as a man who chose to raise a child with love and his most selfless display of love was the day he gave his heart away to his daughter. Visitation will be on November 22, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Roy Akers, 515 N. Main Ave., San Antonio, Texas 78205. Funeral Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 535 New Laredo Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78211 on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. and Burial to proceed at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
