I grew up in the same neighborhood.
When his sister, Gloria was born he really changed and became the "gentle giant" his classmates knew him as.
We will miss John at our class reunions. He was caring and giving. He made a small donation to the Edison Class of 79s reunion when i saw hom at the alumni pre fiesta kickoff on April6.

My condolences to the family and friends of John W. Rabel, Edison Class of 1979.

Rest in Peace dear John. You never saw anyone more proud to be an Edison Golden Bear that "Big John". His love for Edison, his friends and family were a tremendous gift to all. John had a delightful spirit and was a gentle soul. John knew everything and anything about the people and happenings of the Edison Class of 1979 and the Edison Golden Bears.

May the saints and angels wrap their loving arms around you and bring you peace in the Heavens. Keep an eye on us.
