Josephine M. Guerra, blessed mother and grandmother and great-grandmother, born in San Antonio, Texas on June 1, 1925, was called to be with the Lord on July 24, 2012 to join the love of her life, her husband Claude. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Josefina Martinez; brothers, Joe and Ruben Martinez; sisters: Carmen Puentes, Herlinda Alameda, Gloria Garcia, Marina Martinez. She is survived by her loving sons, Claude Guerra, III, Ruben Guerra and wife Maria; grandchildren, Jessica Leigh Clark, Martin Guerra and wife Cynthia; step-grandchildren, Amanda Lozano, Gabriel, Abelardo and Carlos Miranda; great-granddaughter, Sarah; step-great-grandchildren: Adam, Adrian, Matthew, Nathan, Victoria, Joshua, Carter, Hayden and Dakota. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers for a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2012 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. John Berchman’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Daniel Juarez, her long-time physician, John and Sonia of Duncan’s Pharmacy, Westover Hills Healthcare Center, especially the nurses and aides of Wing 400 and Odyssey Hospice for their kind and loving care.
