Josie C. Guajardo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Josie C. Guajardo, who left this world on August 22, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in San Antonio, Texas on March 18, 1934, Josie lived a full and vibrant life, bringing joy, love, and wisdom to all who knew her.

Josie is survived by her daughters, her brothers Raymond and Joe Castellanos, and a large extended family, including numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was deeply loved and cherished by all.

Josie was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Feliciana Castellanos, and her siblings: Lupe, Jovita, Eugenia, Henrietta, and Gilbert. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

A woman of great faith, Josie found peace and strength in prayer. She was also passionate about dancing, music, and had a deep love for math—an interest that she shared with many and which inspired others. Her presence was always one of joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and a profound connection to her family and faith.

Josie will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her warmth, her spirit, and the wisdom she imparted.

A visitation for Josie will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Genesis Baptist Church, 301 Hot Wells Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78223. A prayer service will occur Friday, September 12, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 301 Hot Wells Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78223. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 301 Hot Wells Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78223. A graveside service will occur Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Mission Burial Park South, 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214.
