June 26, 1933 – January 20, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Juanita S. Galindo, who passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 91. Juanita Sandoval was born on June 26, 1933 in San Antonio, TX. Her beloved parents were Andres and Matilde Sandoval.
Manuel and Janita Galindo were faithful parishioners of the church for over 60 years. She watched Mass from home when she could no longer could go to church. Juanita supported the church in its growth, and she was faithful in sending her offerings, rain or shine; she sent money into the office.
Juanita raised four sons and one daughter. She was very dedicated to her family. She loved her church, her St. Jude. She was faithful to God. In her words, "God is good." Juanita was loving, kind, and generous. There was no one like her. Her heart was made of gold. Juanita loved to cook. She made every dish with love, which made it all taste so good!
She was happy when surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Children made her happy. Juanita loved her Spurs, faithful win or lose.
Juanita had a deep love for cooking and baking, often filling her home with delicious aromas that brought comfort to those around her. She had a special touch when it came to tending to her plants and flowers, and her garden was a reflection of her care and patience. Juanita also enjoyed the quiet moments spent sewing, creating beautiful pieces with her hands. Above all, she cherished sitting on the porch with the love of her life, her partner "Popo," where they found joy in each other's company.
Juanita is survived by her daughter Diane; sons Manuel Jr., Mark, and Rick; brothers Joe, Ray, and Gilbert; grandchildren Michael, Michelle, Sarah, Alex, Maxine, Alina, Alyssa, and Jane; and great-grandchildren.
Juanita is preceded in passing by her husband of 64 years Manuel P. Galindo; son Rene Galindo; Brother Frank Sandoval; sisters Helen Sandoval, and Andrea Perez.
