Juanita P. Hernandez

Juanita Porter Hernandez went with her angels in the early morning of April 6, 2012 in San Antonio. Juanita was born in D'Hanis, Texas on March 17, 1922 to Paula Porter Hernandez and Calistro Hernandez. She was a professional seamstress with many of her drapes hanging in major banks and hotels in San Antonio. She is survived by her sisters, Angelita Vidal, Susie Gonzales (Corpus Christi) and Anita Guerra; brother Filomeno Hernandez (Esperanza) all of San Antonio and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Julia Silva, Diamantina Rodriguez and her parents. Juanita was a second mother to many of her nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed. Her family thanks Morningside Manor and Vitas Hospice Unit for their outstanding services. The family will receive friends at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N. Main, San Antonio, Texas, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. A Committal Service will follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery II.
